Like the overpronation mythology, the common running injury of plantar fasciitis also has an extraordinary mythology associated with it in the running community where so many are self-appointed experts. Plantar fasciitis is easy to treat and manage, but so many runners o not get to the right treatment in a timely fashion and it ends up becoming a chronic problem.
You treat it by:


Start by reducing the load on the damaged tissues; then do things to facilitate the healing if there is not an immediate response; and then progress to the progressive adaption to increasing loads.
